Adopt a Plant, Build your Planet

About the Fundraiser

The environment is facing unprecedented challenges due to deforestation, pollution, and climate change. Local communities, especially children and adolescents, are at high risk from these environmental threats, impacting their health, nutrition, and overall well-being. Without immediate and sustained intervention, the natural ecosystems will continue to deteriorate, leading to long-term adverse effects on the community’s quality of life and the planet’s future.

Case Story: He is 12 and lives in the ‘east Kolkata dumping ground area. An area known for its putrid smell and land filled with wastes of the city and without a splash of green. However, the boy harbours a dream – the barren land around his house has gone green. The garbage and plastic wastes have hidden its face with bright green leaves. Gentle breeze is whisking around the meadow, birds chirping and a tender shadow on their shack. He has got three young friends and one day somehow, they managed two saplings, cleaned up a portion of land and planted it. While young brigade is chasing their dream, we can support them with a few saplings.

CINI aims to address these environmental concerns of this young brigade through the #GreenDream project. We will implement a comprehensive program focused on raising awareness and promoting this sustainable practice among children and adolescents.

The project will include:

Educational Workshops: Conducting interactive sessions in schools and communities to educate young people about environmental issues and the importance of conservation.

Tree Plantation Campaigns: Planting trees in urban and rural areas to combat deforestation and improve air quality.

Impact: Through the #GreenDream project, we aim to create a sustainable and eco-friendly community where children and adolescents become proactive environmental stewards.

The expected impacts include:

Increased Environmental Awareness: CINI is Educating over 5 million young people about the importance of environmental conservation.

Reforestation Efforts: Planting sufficient number of trees each year to restore local ecosystems and improve air quality. (As per availability of space and requirement).

Support the GreenDream project to empower children and adolescents in Eastern and North Eastern India to protect their #Environment and secure a sustainable future!
