Dr. Indrani Bhattacharyya, CEO of Child in Need Institute (CINI), participated in the workshop “Improving Public Health through Climate Action”, hosted by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health – India Research Center in Mumbai on 9–10 June 2026.

The workshop brought together leading researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and development partners to discuss three high-impact initiatives focused on national policy integration, urban transformation, and rural interventions for climate-resilient public health.

During the session, Dr. Bhattacharyya presented the CINI Method, highlighting its effectiveness in fostering meaningful community engagement and empowering communities to address health and development challenges. She also emphasized the critical role of NGOs such as CINI in catalyzing change, while strengthening public systems and government services to sustain and scale impact over time.

The workshop was organized with the participation of partners including Harvard C-CHANGE, Ashoka University Ashoka Centre for a People-centric Energy Transition (ACPET), C40 Cities South and West Asia and Dasra.
